Mourning Diary
MOURNING DIARY
3 channel video installation / HD 13min 49sec
MOURNING DIARY intuitively deals with the feeling of mourning and stagnation during the corona crisis. Young adults were particularly hard hit by the restrictions. The life phase of adolescence is characterized by the search for variety, new experiences and strong feelings. The void that social distancing has torn in the lives of young people is lasting and existential.
The video installation Mourning Diary runs in parallel on 3 projection screens. In the center of the installation, representing the adolescent generation, 6 young adults are accompanied in quiet introspective moments. Each of them deals with the manifested black feeling of loneliness and grief.
